    ... nearly so special.

    Check-in at Westin Hilton Head Resort and Spa was around 3:30. It was a long, long walk to our room but we were very impressed when we got there! (See review above.)

    Shortly after, we went exploring the resort. Found one restaurant would not be open until April and another, Carolina Café, that seemed a bit pricey. ...

    ... are two agricultural fields planted with corn, sunflowers and wheat, sesame, millet, Egyption wheat all to provide food for the wildlife that live there. Portions of the fields are left fallow to grow native vegetation. This habitat diversity is good for all wildlife.

    The last owners (1976 -2007) the Meyers left the property to the State and the Department of Natural Resouces opened the plantation to the general public in 2008.
