    ... wish I stayed) But, **** happens. I had to make a decision in a few days, my friend Kayla from Quebec left to go back home as she was over it also, so i guess that had a little influence on my decision, but i didn't want to go home, I came all this way! gave up so much for this, and for my dream to be shattered in front of me I wasn't going home.

    ... they are in is astonishing. So, the USS Cairo is like another park within the main park. It would be very easy to spend an entire day wandering around this place!

    Lastly, if anyone noticed very strange paths on my tracker today, my original track had me catching a small archeological park in the NE corner of Louisiana... well, it seems this has become a state park now... so I re-routed and today, I went back west into La to be sure I had that ...

    ... and then picked up smaller roads towards Hattiesburg and Vicksburg.

    Going over a magnificent bridge over Mobile Bay you swing into Alabama and one of your first sites is the USS Alabama moored up with it's guns pointing at Florida! Stopped for photo op and then heading on got a little lost exiting Mobile but eventually found the right road - north! It all got a little back road America here, passing dilapted houses, little mom and pop ...

    We left Robertsdale if for no other reason than to escape the constant gunfire from the shooting range nearby. Driving into Mobile reminded us of driving into San Francisco from the Bay Bridge, because it is approached by a bridge. Once we got into Mobile, we went into a tunnel to go under a shipping channel.
