The stars seemed aligned to fulfill my long dream of seeing the Iowa Cubs play. They started early, tickets were $7 and 2 for 1 with a Subway receipt, parking is readily available on nearby streets, and they were playing the Nola Zephyrs who were pitching former All-Star Brad Penny. This week, Thursday, will be four weeks post surgery for us. Honestly, the past four weeks have pretty much been a blur of healing, getting off of narcotics (not an easy task after two years!), and just kind of cruising through each day on autopilot. Our last day in Chicago, and so much to choose from. But we decided to head over to the Field Museum. It turns out the museum parking is under Soldier Field, home of the Chicago Bears. So we got a double treat as its a beautiful stadium. The museum was top notch. We started out by touring a special exhibit on Genghus Kahn. Since I didn't know very much about him and the empire he built, ...

excited at the same time. I will search my whole life to
keep feeling like that. I will (as proven) move countries &
start over just to feel it. The feeling of new. Of adrenaline
rushes & sugar highs. Of knowing, every moment, that your
life is about to change forever. & of loving every second of it.
