Next we passed a sign promoting thesquattingtoadband.com. I displayed the website ...

Elgin, Illinois, United States tourdevToday was absolutely beautiful in Springfield; sunny and high 70s. The show only ran to 2:00 so we were able to get on the road pretty quickly. Got home just after 5:00.
Walked around the city a bit more this morning and checked out the State Capital building-very cool.

Again, there were a lot of families with these cool station wagons cruisin along like when we were kids in the pre-80s era when everyone did that for their summer vacation. I am very saddened by this turn of events, but if this is the direction that their church is ...
Chicago, Illinois, United States ebmargitChicago. Near Wrigley Field. Tuesday morning. And the sun is shining... I learned something on the train. I learned that if you close your eyes around 10PM while sitting in a coach seat, and you keep them closed until dawn the next morning, you can pretend that you got a night's sleep. And your body will believe you for a while. Until you get to Chicago 4.5 hours late, until you ride the packed city bus with all your luggage through the city to the north Lake Shore Drive area where ...
Chicago, Illinois, United States tim_and_sally... a few friends from work to rescue us from the hell that is Washington Dulles International Airport, but to no avail. I was trapped once again in the airport in which I had spent virtually every Friday afternoon for the past year and a half. Without any other options, we decided to spend the night in the airport. Apparently I wasn't done earning this free trip around the world.
