The falls were beautiful all lit up. It was a bit cold with the wind and mist so we didn't stay long. It could also be because it was after 11pm. When we got to Frankenmuth we were in for a surprise. It was a little town like a diamond in the rough. It's like a Bavarian Village and they were having a festival. The village was really pretty and we enjoyed walking around seeing the sights. There was a wooden covered bridge that we were able to walk through as well as lots of neat shops. We had to get some popcorn and a cupcake since we were in need of a snack ...

... After we crossed the bridge, we tried to stay as close to the shoreline of Lake Huron as possible. We pulled into Rogers City later in the evening in the rain, so decided a nice cozy hotel room with a bath tub would feel good. Could only find one hotel, the Driftwood Motel, which looked right out to the water. Fortunately for us it was adequate for our needs.
