This past week was all about BBQ, as I took a trip to Northwest Arkansas for Walmart's "Dibs On My Ribs" Cookoff Finale event as well as the Sam's Club/Kansas City BBQ Society BBQ National Championship event. It was a busy weekend covered in good times and BBQ sauce.

During our nearly 2 week stay, we enjoyed Eureka Springs twice, Bentonville/Rogers twice and Fayetteville itself throughout the week and weekend. Very cool area!!

... I certainly was not interested in getting suck in the middle of a forest fire. Being down in the valley meant there weren't many avenues of escape. One learns that you can't outrun a forest fire up hill (or for the most part ever, but especially up a hill) and every way out was up hill, except a small winding creek bed that led further into the forest.
