Jen here. I just visited friends and family in Memphis and am back in Owensboro. JD and I are trying to get the last details for our trip hammered out before we head in different directions. JD is going to the Nevada Outback for a weekend with the guys, and I'm traveling to Long Beach, CA to participate in a half marathon with the ladies. Is there any better way to travel on an overseas flight than with really sore legs? I ...

We were sitting outside the trailer, chatting and up drives Pamela. She had all her birdies and her moose-dog, Butch with her so her entourage was almost as large as ours! We had a ...
... the entrance. Kentucky is not good about telling you that historic markers loom in the distance. Texas always lets us know that there is one ahead and then tells you that you are there! The cemetery was outside South Carrollton and it is a really lovely, post Civil War burial area. The marker is for Judge John Goodman but it doesn’t give the dates of his life so I have no idea where to place him. I’ll have ...

On the way we marveled at the gardens: huge extravagant peonies in many gardens, roses everywhere, vegetables growing beside almost every house. This afternoon we'll walk the Cathedral labyrinth and I plan to spend some more time in the Roofless Church (called so because the sky is overhead). Photos of that later.
New Harmony, Indiana, United States janemhWe been moving along to get home and it is a long way. So I'm going to post where we spend the night and then the next day it's off on the next leg. Were on our way to North Carolina and then to Florida. Sorry no pictures. Ray and Christa

Well, I thought she saw a rare WV deer and slammed on the breaks. It was a sign and inside joke with Kirby HAHAHA! I am still not sure but it was a sign for the Kanawha River. We wish everyone well!! Sebree, Kentucky, United States eyeride... Elvis lookalike and all. The second lunch was enjoyed by all given that it was not bought on our budget! We proceeded to spend the next 4 hours in a rigorous match of Four Square (the local game that Pastor Bob introduced us to). Supper was even better than lunch and we were treated to our second serving of vegetables this trip, while we exchanged stories with another ...

During the summer of 2006, I worked as a student intern in the emergency room at Munster Community Hospital, an experience that taught me both the value and the frailty of life and the true human spirit. I have been very involved in my university from working as student worker at the Evansville Center Indiana University School of Medicine to founding the South Asian Student Union on campus ...
Evansville, Indiana, United States shef11308... crackpot in him and a whole pile of experience. It's why I enjoy conversation with old Army vets and coal miners more than with, say, college pseudo-intellectuals and artists and so-called activists who have never been outside New York City. Part of the reason I think movies now are so much worse than they used to be s because old movies were written by guys who really had something from which to draw, who had been fighter pilots in the Pacific or stormed the beaches ...
