We had a crazy weekend mixed with multiple festivities (including the awesome game of True American), however, kayaking along Saluda Shoals was probably the coolest thing I have done in Columbia yet. It was slightly windy but overall the weather was beautiful. We put in and paddled upstream against the current (bound to be sore the next day).

We reached the dam about a mile or ...

Although most of the elevated boardwalk was closed, a short section that leads to an overlook on Weston Lake was still open, so we were able to go out there for views of the oxbow lake. There was Spanish moss hanging from trees along the shore making for a beautiful scene. I could not imagine a more rewarding job while being surrounded by more caring and warm hearted people. My supervisors are amazing people so dedicated and empowered by their careers. Not only is it a rewarding job but it is fun! We do a lot of event planning and "family ...

Ben and I are so fortunate to have been able to take this amazing trip. Going back 43 days ago, on the first leg, we say thanks to Cindy and Earl for our short but fun stay in Minneapolis. Next I must comment on Great Alaskan Holidays who hooked us up with Winnie for our 5 weeks of travel. The motor home was the perfect way to see all the sights and I would recommend this mode to anyone. We have seen many areas of the lower USA that have been on our ...
