OK, so here is the story of the first day of our trip.
Yesterday (Tuesday) we took "G/G" and the TOAD to Camping World to have the auxiliary brake installed. Yes I know it should have been done before, but no one ever accused us of doing things the easy way. Anyway, we drove out early yesterday, turned both vehicles in and was told they would be ready about 4 pm. So off we went back home. I had driven my car out while Bob towed the car so we could go back home.

Robbie is very excited about going through the states today and keeps asking why Texas is so big! Soon enough we will be enjoying some fried alligator in Baton Rouge. ... of asphalt. Crossed the border into Texas & stopped soon after in a place called Beaumont, fairly unremarkable, not that we've seen much of it. Booked into a roadside motel & had Hooters for dinner. All the waitresses were in their hooter's skimpies & there were tv's everywhere with all sorts of sports.
