There is a lot of music that is not innately beautiful, but does paint a picture and evokes emotions that we might not want to confront. One of my college professors called that cerebral music. We went to the top, but it was way to cold to go out onto the viewing platform, so I stayed inside with the kids and admired my view through glass. Tom went out and took the photos. As we were lining up for our descent we saw a couple who had just become engaged while we were up there. So cute. Home we trundeled, tired but happy with all we had achieved, and ...

A night out at the Minskoff theatre

A travel blog entry by jillmac on May 01, 2014

We went to see the broadway production of the Lion King last night at the Minskoff theatre in Times Square. Getting there was rather an ordeal as the rain had increased to a steady downpour and it was still very cold. We went into times square via the subway which didn't take very long but once there we were assaulted with a barrage of people all moving en masse with heads down and umbrellas up. We were hoping to have dinner somewhere near the theatre but the only decent place ...
