First we went to Marie Selby Botanical Garden. Enjoyed the walk through the gardens, as well as the tour through the Payne home. We then went to the Mote Aquarium, enjoyed that as well. Went to tavern on Main in historic Sarasota for a beer. Stopped for dinner at Evies Tavern off of University ...
We are HOME! What a wonderful feeling to pull into our neighborhood and to realize that with all the amazing places we visited that this was the place that we wanted to end up. We thank you all for following our adventures and sending us good wishes for safe travels. We feel blessed that we were able to go on this incredible journey and to return home safe and sound.
Leaving Grayton Beach we were ready to be home, so we
spent a long day of travel. We left at 8
am, lost an hour moving through the last time zone and arrived home safe and
sound at 6 pm on Wednesday, September 3.

Walking back we stopped of at a restaurant for something to eat but after some hot dogs, all I felt like were some fries. Naturally alcoholic beverages were consumed by those that could drink them, (much to the despair of those who couldn't) and we settled down to sleep for an oddly haunt free night.
a note to the reader: in true lara/simon fashion best intentions to write a blog has fallen to the wayside in favor of sunsets and surf and face to face chats. also we're just a bit **** at this kind of thing. but we do want to keep people up to date and realise have been emails to update (some but not all) people so thought mostly copy them to catch all interested up to date then continue by the blog.
