    Our next stop was the Beidenharn House & Museum. This was the home of the man who was the original bottler of Coka Cola. We saw the lovely home & its gardens that had been built in the early 1900's. Mr. Joe's daughter Emma, a famous contralto with the London opera, built on to it in the 50's & made it into the lovely home you see today. ...

    ... outside to get pictures of the un-flooded loading dock, the infamous warehouse sign, and the A&E semi-trailer in the parking lot. Then we drove a few blocks down the road to Willie’s Duck Diner. The restaurant ambience replicated Louisiana culture and the staff reflected a southern friendliness.     ... in the pool but the water was really cold!

    We took a late evening walk so Kallen could 'rock hunt'. He insisted on taking some rocks home!

    We leave tomorrow for Lake Charles and board our train around 2pm. We'll be home on Tuesday! Kallen is getting homesick and thought we were going to be home tomorrow....poor guy!
