      ... but this has changed over the years but football still is god. There is a huge stadium which is just for football and hosts about 6 games a year. Their football season is only about 11 games. Seems such a waste to have a facility so underutilised.

      ... Information centre at Shipshewana where there were a number of quilts on display. They also has some quilt block patterns painted on the building. Next door at the Yoder hardware and department store, more blocks were painted on the building. In the car park, next to where the cars were parked, there was a section with hitching rails where about 6 horses and buggies were tied up.

      ... at the car park, it started as a neatly mown path which petered out to a very poorly defined path. No wonder others had had difficulty.

      Headed out from the park on highway 80 heading towards South Bend. At Ottawa (Illinois) we spent some time trying to find lunch. Walmart had not bread rolls and in the end we bought salads from Kroger which we ate beside the Illinois River.

      ... vehicles and people picnicking and bar-b-queuing next to them, predominantly Hispanics. The carpark at the end was jammed full so we couldn't even walk to the beach but the dunes towered above us to the right and large numbers of ant-like people climbed up them.       Tuesday marked the last “See ya laters” as Denny, Laura, Ilana, and the kids headed back to Indianapolis in the morning and Mimi and Papa followed in the afternoon.
