Ate at Cafe Benelux, tried a local amber ale, Lakefront Fixed Gear and Dick tried New Belgium Fat Tire in honor of his recent golf trip where a lot of his buddies drank Fat Tire. Liked that better than mine! Shared delicious sliders. Dick has a chicken chopped salad. And, I had mussels in coconut milk, green curry, and garlic. Thought I'd try something different. I also want to give a shout out to the many nice people I met on the trip (some of whom are now on the blog list). Meeting the nice people on the trip is a big part of the enjoyment in making the trip in the first place. Next years Charity ride in Europe will only be about 2,600 miles (one way) so ...

Also did a day trip with two of my buddies (Bill and Tim) and their wives along with my wife and my son and daughter on the island of Maui back in November. We rode 5 Harley’s to the summit of Haleakala Volcano (10,000 ft.). It was 80 degrees in route and freezing rain during the climb but we were rewarded with sunshine and 50 degrees at the top. On the return back down at about the 3,000 foot level we stopped for lunch at an ...
