    ... to Winthrop Harbor, IL, on Saturday, October 25th, to make the drive through Chicago as easy as possible. But being so close to home we decided to go all the way on Friday, and we had the 'pleasure' of spending several hours in heavy traffic.

    ... probably about 2-3 miles. Nice walk, and nice area. Lots of potential and as Dick read in TripAdvisor, not as much action on River Walk. There are a few restaurants and bars, but mostly the backside of buildings. We stopped a few people to get directions and advice. One gentleman told us about the Third Ward where there were some restaurants and bars! The Third Ward is about a block off the River Walk.

    Also did a day trip with two of my buddies (Bill and Tim) and their wives along with my wife and my son and daughter on the island of Maui back in November. We rode 5 Harley’s to the summit of Haleakala Volcano (10,000 ft.). It was 80 degrees in route and freezing rain during the climb but we were rewarded with sunshine and 50 degrees at the top.
