... have. Then to top it off, we finally got to I-80 only to hit the horrible wind and rain that was pounding the mid-west all this week. Couldn't have been more stressful - but we finally made it to Bob & Marilyn's smiling faces and went out for a great dinner and a "glass of stress relief" :-)

... we were in Amish country again, and their carts are brightly lit from the back to alert approaching cars. The funniest thing was the second cart - that actually crossed a street in front of us, as we waited at a stop sign, and the only light on the cart was the screen of a CELL PHONE! We're like, huh??? It was very windy, and sprinkling rain, and they were in a open, horse drawn cart, exposed to the cold of night, but using a cell phone?!?!? Wonder how ...

From St. Louis to Fort Wayne, to break up the long drive, we put Springfield, Illinois, where I was born, on the route. There I saw the house I lived in until age 2 for the first time in 49 years.
