      ... the Union Square area. We took the Subway to get there, and I think New York wins (over London, Paris and Rome) for heat, bumpiness and congestion... Not a pleasant experience at all (although it is Friday night). Momofuku was brilliant - it is an Asian-Fusion sharing style, kind of similar to King of Snake in Christchurch, but probably a bit more fine-dining. Tomorrow we will do Wall Street end of town, and hopefully the Staten Island ...

      ... things since I've been here but it's the atmosphere and people I am most taken a back by. I am meeting some more new people tonight at a get together at an art gallery fancy palace place (fonsy).....I feel like this is a place which would take you years to understand, or get to grips with, but I sure am enjoying immersing myself in it. Off to Staten Island tomorrow, and gonna have a look at the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn bridge and the bull on Wall Street.... Bye for now, ...

      We arrived outside the Rockefeller, which looked really huge and lovely all lit up. In we went for our scheduled time and up in the elevator to the very very top!! The elevator had cool lights when you went up and we could see straight up! We were excited to see NYC lit up and we were not disappointed! It was an amazing view!       ... bands not available in Australia, so a huge chunk of her spending money went on Rainbow Loom stuff, but she was so happy with her purchase. We went to relax in the hotel for a bit after that, and when we came back out, the sun had disappeared and the rain had started!
