This is a great hotel. Convenient location near the interstate with restaurants within walking distance. Room was very clean. The hotel was quiet. The staff is wonderful. The hot breakfast in the morning was great! Best part about breakfast - the TV wasn't blaring in the room, so it was quiet enough for conversation. Highly recommend!

... Maria en Trastevere. We sat at the fountain and people watched with our luggage for a spell, then ventured back to the apartment to find Angela cleaning it for us. She let us drop off our bags, then, with our lighter load, we headed out for exploring. We came upon a church square with a huge police and military presence. We found out later that a scene from a James Bond movie is being filmed there. We wandered up Gianicolo ...

Just when I feared I might have to melt my own spot, I found an accommodating tree. As you can see by the look on my face, I'm none too happy about the weather situation.

Nashville to Little Rock 345 miles

Ok so still feel bad this morning, in fact I threw up - can't even remember the last time that happened, perhaps it wasn't the cocktail after all. Peter had a lonely breakfast, as I felt so bad. Eventually got on the road and programmed in first stop Graceland. It was really weird when we got there, it's in a busy scruffy road lined with the usual fast food outlets. You pull into a huge car park (not necessary in January!) and walk to the ticket office, we got the cheapest tour, the ...

... similar to our North Market. Unfortunately, it was in the low 40's, otherwise I would have ridden on the bike trail that traverses the river twice and forms a 14 mile loop. Damn weather..

I was first through the doors as the William J. Clinton Presidential Library opened at 9 in the morning. The building is glassy, shiny, and flashy. Being somewhat frugal, it amazed me at all the wasted space surrounding the glass exterior walls. It is ...

... turns up, I'm only two hours away. The plan was to spend the previous night in Little Rock, wander around Little Rock during the day then hang out with Amber in the evening. But, the Mississippi river prevented that from happening!

At last, after over 18 hours of travelling and connecting I reach the bus station in Little Rock. I wait outside the front door near the taxi rank, a car pulls up and a brightly lit ginger haired girl looks at me ...
