Stopping for the night in Columbia Missouri after taking a picture of Beetle Bailey. I remember reading Beetle Bailey in the funny pages every day. We had a great day taking the back roads instead of I-70. Saw tons of barns and great houses along the ...

... hours. Of singing Annie songs, continuously. We settled into our hotel and dinner time and I took the girls swimming while Carrie went out and picked up some southern barbecue - yum! It was a long day but fun with lots of laughter and songs! I wish I had videoed Phoebe singing "Little Girls" she does a mean Ms. Hannagian. Also Claire has pretty much memorized the entire album and belts it out at the top of her lungs! ~Bethany Miles ...

... We walked around Florida, took us about three minutes.

After Florida, we drove to Paris (so now we’ve been to Paris, France, Paris, TX, and I’ve been to Paris, TN). There is supposed to be a very old covered bridge in the area, but we never could find it and you would think that since it is a Missouri Historic Site, there would be better signage. I spent a frustrating couple of days around Columbia MO. Probably a nice town but it left a bad impression. It was going to be a rainy and stormy day so I thought I would visit an anthropology museum. Either the address was wrong or the GPS took me on a wild route and I ended up in the middle of the UoM campus. I walking around continuing to look and ended up in the middle of the quadrangle. Beautiful spot but not near where I was supposed to be and ...

4:30 PM - Crossed the Missouri River & into Missouri and through Kansas City where we hit some 'rush hour' traffic - but nothing too bad.

6:22 PM - Arrive Columbia, Missouri & check into La Quinta motel.

Just over 12 1/2 hours on the road but didn't seem too bad. Good weather, no road construction.

Dinner across the street at an Applebee's.
    Beautiful sunset in Missouri!
