    ... hours. Of singing Annie songs, continuously. We settled into our hotel and dinner time and I took the girls swimming while Carrie went out and picked up some southern barbecue - yum!     ... rained like Noah needed to float his ark. Streets were flooding and I was 1/2 mile from the van without a paddle. Luckily there was a campus hangout and sports bar to wait out the rain and I tried to feel like I was 20 again.

    ... 36. In less than an hour down the road, the terrain is as flat as can be. Such a change!

    Beltway around Denver had no traffic and we got on Route 70 East at 7 AM- the highway that we will be on the rest of the trip!
