Once there was a man who collected windmills and people came from miles around (even from as far away as Canada) to ooh and aah at his collection of more than 50 windmills.
And then he sold them to the city of Portales, and they took the windmills, and put them behind a barbwire-topped fence and ...
Floyd, New Mexico
We stopped in Floyd to visit one of my old supervisors. She retired from the military several years back and stayed in New Mexico. It was so great to visit with her and her many puppies. We just hope that it will not be as long between visits next time.
Camp Oro Quay for our very first mission. We are really excited.

High on my bucket was (and I say was) Taos. Poor Tom drove about nine hours, some of them in a raging rain storm. Taos was a bust. We immediately headed for Santa Fe.
The ride, however to Taos was nothing short of spectacular. The landscapes were like paintings. We traveled through sage brush fields and majestic mountains. We miss so much of this beautiful country when we travel by plane.
