Selamat malam Amer...
Denver City, Texas, United States cyberdeeMike picked me up from the airport and took me back to his hotel. It was nice to see him. I was very tired but we went on a short jaunt to find some food and an open grocery store. I started up a conversation with the nice drive through lady at Carl's JR and she pointed us towards KING SOOPER'S. I loved the name of this store and we were able to find everything we needed here. We visited King Sooper's another few times while we were in Denver.

... etc. It's simplest to just say we paid $280, got 27,000 miles, some nights in Denver, and one night each in Shanghai and Tokyo.
Our total out-of-pocket expenses for the 10 day trip was $900. The vast majority of this was spent on Vietnam visas ($90 total for two), airline taxes ($100 total for two), food, local transportation (bus, metro, Maglev, etc) and attractions. And of course, it includes the infamous $25 pot of tea in Shanghai! (You know ...

... on the other lane. After getting through that everything became much nicer. Saw some elk grazing on the side of the road. Began the drive up the trail ridge road, were as can be expected for me it rained off and on. This was a light drizzle so it wasn’t to bad. Just as I got to the top at the Alpine Summit Visitor Center this turned into a light snow. As I was looking around the visitor center the light ...

This was my first day of the mission trip. From what I remember, it was mostly worship and hanging out for the night and getting ready for our assignments for the week. Since I don't remember much from it, I won't go into to daily detail. Every day though I went to a boys and girls club and hung out with kids all day. It was an amazing experience and helped fuel me to go on more mission trips.
