      Disappointing

This hotel was under renovation in the lobby area. Our room should have been renovated too. We had stayed here before and liked it but not this time. The time of day simply stopped from moving on down the road.

With this added luxury it was here we decided to eat at Waffle House, a place you can eat steak and eggs everyday for about the same price as the Chinese. The waffles were ok, but seeing the ‘waitress’ clean up the left overs from the table next to us by wolfing down the half eaten hashbrown, made a souvenir a must.

Left home at 10:30 am for CVG airport. Checked luggage and cleared security with TSA precheck and to the gate in less than 20 minutes. Always works this way when you have time. Departed Cincinnati at 12:50 pm as the sun was shining through the clouds. The commuter jet to New York was only half full so I had both seats to myself.

Went past the coast over the Atlantic and circled back from the east. We got down below the clouds and saw ...

I learned that the needs that we have here are the same in Australia. We all need to feel appreciated and respected. And, we must show that respect and appreciation to others.

... below. We easily spent a few hours here roaming the grounds. The Art Museum was also good (not as good as Detroit). A sample of some of the highlights can be seen in the photos. Also got to make it up to Mt. Adams which gave a very nice view of the city, and the Ohio river. We also made it to Over-the-Rhine, which was a cool part of town with a lot of cool bars, and stores. Overall, a splendid couple of days ...
