... of no where and pulling everyone over. We really do live in a police state. In Arizona and Texas I was stopped at INS roadblocks. Good thing I had my passport and no Mexican accent. Stopped in Tallahassee for the night. I have been here many times before. The Cracker Barrel is at the top of a hill, and I got gas once before at this circle k. Just never from this direction. Time to go ...
Heat index was 110 degrees today, and our generator sputtered and died.
We had to rely on the dash A/C to cool the entire motor home, and it just wouldn't handle it. In fact, it was so hot we thought it needed more Freon. We took it to a Chev. dealer in Tallahassee and he said he would have to charge $165.00 to charge it. Said they had to drain out all ...
Water line fix took until following Monday. Still needed it cleaned, exterior/interior protectant applied, paint touch up, etc. We started moving items from Max to 'what'shisnamegoingtobe" on Wed. with plans to be gone by Fri. Mid 90's, coaches were not setting side by side....nasty! Got TPMS antenna and air line for braking system on car moved over.
Stopped at Tallahassee Camping World to look at a new Itasca Ellipse. There are several upgrades to this model that would be nice. Negotiated a great deal, decided we should go ahead and do it. It's only $$, and we spend 5 months a year doing this. Techs found a leak in the water line going to the refrigerator, so we went to Big Oak RV Park on their recommendation. Not the best decision. It was ok, lots of permanents, roads narrow.
We spent a very fast paced 3 days with our grandsons. We took them for the day on Sunday and anyone that has ever kept 3 little boys, 8, 7 and 6, know that is a tiring:)
We took them back to the camper for lunch and over to see the light house on St. Marks. There is a little hiking trail that the boys enjoyed. Overall a great visit. Also our oldest just got a house and we helped by keeping the boys away so they could paint the day away.
