    ... zwar ein Ticken wärmer sein können in der Behausung, letztendlich schlug sich mein Schlafequipment bei wenigen Grad über Null aber ganz gut. Über die Scenic Road durch den Nationalpark ging es am nächsten Tag dann zurück auf den Highway. Die Landschaft ist ganz schön und auf jeden Fall eine gute Alternative zum Highway, wenn man Richtung Norden fährt – Zwar nicht atemberaubend, aber ein schöner Auftakt für die Amerikareise.

    ... as they found it, complete with plastic sauce bottles on the tables. More work has had to be done to the outside of the building which is now shrouded in black sheeting to keep the light out and enable them to create a night scene of city lights that are visible from inside the diner. Clever stuff. Filming started last week and they now have a full complement of crew, but casting problems have required them to make some changes to the schedule which explains why ...

    The anticipation of a big trip like this one is always part of the fun! Over the next week we need to finish up work commitments, buy and wrap Christmas gifts, attend numerous holiday events, attend to a plethora of details (washing the dogs, holding the mail, etc) and pack for our big adventure.

  • I wish I spoke Spanish. I took French through high school and in college, so that won't help me on this trip. I have always wanted to learn Spanish, but just never had. Maybe this trip will give me that push I need to actually buy that darn Rosetta Stone.
