We are winding up our trip to Dallas and have spent the time with Simon and his family. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday has meant beautiful weather with daytime temperatures reaching 21 degrees and very sunny. We have visited a number of parks and done a few good walks. Sunday we went to Lewisville. We miss the coffee shops attached to the parks we have back in Australia. On Monday Steve and Christine went to Grapevine Mills DFO to try and retrieve the taxes ...

This week has been relatively quiet for me. I have pretty much gone to work, and returned home; anything outside of that has been few and far in between. It's the beginning of the year. Today was a trip to a State Park about 1 hour's drive north of Coppell. Whilst most of the drive was along freeways we passed through farming country with horse ranches and cattle before entering the park. Ray Roberts Lake State Park has a 29000 acre reservoir supporting many water activities. The weather was nice and sunny but the wind kept it cool - about 16. The park has many camping sites allowing for walking and ...

... backed me up. We were wrong man, we were wrong.

I have to say too that this airport is pretty awesome. A huge pain to drive through (my poor Mom) but pretty stunning once you make it inside. I think working IT at a place like this could be interesting.

Enough mundane stuff, for I don't want to risk Waffles making another "LAAAMMMME" comment (she tried to post the lame seal but couldn't do ...

... thank goodness all went well and we had an on time departure! Much better experience than with sun country airlines! Our flight time to Los Angeles was just under 3 hours. No rude passengers on this flight! Thank god! Lol. Once landed in LA I made my way to the international terminal and then went up to the qantas business class lounge to attempt to get some dinner before my flight home. Well... As a vegan it was nearly damn impossible to find food there. I ended up ...
