Enfin de l'exotisme a Miami !!!
... dans la Petite Havane et la Petite Haïti. Encore une fois le Lonely planete donne des cartes incompletes et je me
perd (presque) en chemin de la petite Havane. Le plus plate est qu'il n'a rien a voir pantoute dans ce quartier-la. Cest des maisons de style hispano (comme dans toute la floride) et avec du monde qui parle espagnol (comme dans toute la floride) et des dépanneurs indépendants qui vendent du Pepsi et de la creme glacée (...).

Miami for a night!
After flying for awhile, we finally made it to Miami around 1. We decided to work on our spanish on the plane and we probably sounded ridiculous, but we were having fun! We waited outside for our shuttle for about 20 minutes,which seemed like forever because we were tired, but we finally made it to our room around 215 a.m. and probably didn't get to sleep until about 3; we were a bit tired the next morning. Today is Monday 2nd April, I told the guys last night to meet me downstairs at 9am Sharpe., However I didn't wake up until 12:30 noon lol, to be fair I did go to bed at 7am. There was no one at the hostel at this point so I just ended up down Collins to have a subway and walked back down the beach to the hostel. Once back at the hostel, I just chilled out in my room until another 3 girls walked in on me, all from Argentina too.

... has been a good way to re-adjust back into the Western world ... speaking English, remembering to throw toilet paper in the toilet and not the rubbish bin, wearing a seatbelt, not trying to bargain in the supermarket, calling a taxi not jumping on the back of a passing motorcycle ... there are a few things that I won't miss like annoying people snoring in the bunk bed above me and turning the light on when I'm sleeping, people stealing your food out of ...

So while I am teetering on the edge of saying goodbye to Ft. Lauderdale & returning to the frigid north, I will re-evaluate my situation after this weekend & early next week to see how the day-work goes & if I can get a better idea on if it's even worth staying here.
On the bright side, I won my way into a big-money tournament on PokerStars that takes place on the 21st...so at least it hasn't been a complete loss.
