Day 1 started with a 3:30am alarm clock rousing us from our 3hr slumber. Kissed the girls goodbye then off to DFW to catch Virgin Airlines to LAX. Virgin Airlines is pretty sweet! I recommend it for your next travel plans. Made it to LAX (an awfully designed airport!). Connecting flights have to exit security, exit the airport, walk down the street …

We are winding up our trip to Dallas and have spent the time with Simon and his family. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday has meant beautiful weather with daytime temperatures reaching 21 degrees and very sunny. We have visited a number of parks and done a few good walks. Sunday we went to Lewisville. We miss the coffee shops attached to the parks we have back in Australia. On Monday Steve and Christine went to Grapevine Mills DFO to try and retrieve the taxes ...

It usually is characterized by lots of social media posts announcing to all followers their significant sacrifice ...

Today was a trip to a State Park about 1 hour's drive north of Coppell. Whilst most of the drive was along freeways we passed through farming country with horse ranches and cattle before entering the park. Ray Roberts Lake State Park has a 29000 acre reservoir supporting many water activities. The weather was nice and sunny but the wind kept it cool - about 16. The park has many camping sites allowing for walking and ...

Antigua to Dallas. Another very early start rising at 4.30am for a 5am pick up. Antigua is a 45 minute drive to Guatemala City airport. As the roads get incredibly busy it is advised to leave as early as possible as later in the day the trip can take up to 2 hours. We had breakfast at ...
