The day began like all the previous days; with sun streaming into the bedroom. We have been fortunate with the weather as it has been bright sunshine at times and when it has rained we have missed most of the downpours. ... But the centre of Leeds is the same as most larger cities these days. We live in the "Western Society". most towns are filled with the same chain stores, franchised restaurants and coffee shops, and the same cars. If it wasn't for the regional accents, I wouldn't know the difference between some cities these days.
