The German train system is on strike until Monday. That is all BUT the ICE (intercity express) trains. So we did catch our 6:45 AM train from Brussels to Frankfurt. It was a little eerie to see all the trains parked. There were a few running but in most of the stations, like Koln and Bonn, we were the only train.
On the way to pick up the rental car we had this great Iranian cab ...
We arrive in Frankfurt around 11:00 a.m. David gets instructions on and where to take the train into the city. As we ride along I noticed that the color of the leaves are now turning yellow and orange. The country side is just beautiful. The part of the city that we saw was mapped out like a

... started walking towards Geothe Turm, (Geothe was a German author and turm means tower), while Tante Gitta took Rachel in her car. Onkel Johannes, Rachel, Dad and I climbed the tower and looked out over Frankfurt. It was BEAUTIFUL. Rachel, Mom and I went in a maze and then we all headed back to my great aunt and uncle's house. We had dinner and talked a lot and then Mom and Dad took me back to our hotel. (Rachel wanted to stay at the house). Good afternoon to you all.
