Pleasant Wisconsin roads. Stopped in town of Owen, had picnic as lots of bread, summer sausage and cheese in cooler.

Anna then drove -- didn't stop again until reached border -- where Mississippi and St Croix rivers join, so crossed Mississippi twice except the first was actually St Croix River. [At Prescott, Wisconsin and Hastings, Minnesota]

Very hot -- above 90 and humid. Had 2nd stop just across St Croix, possibly Lake Rebecca Park.

We arrived in Chippewa Falls about 1:30 and went to the Leinie Lodge where the tours started from. We had made reservations which is recommended. When we checked in they gave us bracelets like in a hospital ...

This afternoon we had a second lunch in Boyd. We then biked in the heat over 20 miles of mixed rolling hills and farmland. Most of the farmland belonged to Mennonites. They had the prettiest and most well kept farms we saw all day. It is now cooling ...

Cois Cois (not spelt right, sorry) Cranberries Honey Bring water to a boil. Add 2/3 cup of the rice (Cois Cois) to the water, add 1/2 cup of cranberries and 2 splashes of honey to the water. Let Cois Cois cook all the way through, then set to cool. Takes about 5 minutes to prepare and cook. Add more honey, depending on your preference. Lunch for 2 1/2 ...
