Travel Blogs from Helsinki

Everyone is on strike today-trams, buses, trains, and others. Therefore no trips to Porvoo. It poured rain this morning. We decided we had to go out anyway. We walked to the railway square to look at the protest- thousands of people, lots of police, in the rain. It was weird not having a clue what any of the speakers were saying. We walked about a …

We took the Viking ferry at 11:30am for a day cruise to Tallinn. The ferry is a large car, truck and passenger ferry and it has all sorts of facilities like cafés, restaurants, bingo, karaoke, pub, dancing, cabins, deli, duty free and just sit and mind your own business. It looks like some of the passengers just take the "cruise" over to Estonia to …
