      ... were wiped out from the kids waking them up early that day so Frank and I decided to try a Mexican restaurant that they recommended. I have to say the quality was very good.       ... We saw the bridge over the Rhine and were they used to throw "witches" off the bridge during the European witch hunts a few hundred years ago. She showed us the monastary and said we were lucky that we got to see it without scaffolding because they're usually doint some type of refrubishment. We went into a shop to get postcards and found the greatest candy ever in Europe, Malteasers! Think whopper, but gourmet and delicious! I can't eat whoppers because of these little gems ...

      We had to make decisions on extra tours also, just chose two, one to Colmar Village and the other a night in Rudesheim. There were enough tours already included.

      The other significant things were that in reaching Basel we not only passed into Germany and then Switzerland but Garth our trusty Garmin died! We thought he was good for Europe but it seems not this part of Europe, and once we crossed the border, no more map data! He can still provide us statistics on our ride though so will not be totally useless.
