... railway junction was the target of the allies attack. The Americans took over the bridge but ultimately it collapsed and killed 28 Americans. Later, we go to the famous Grand Hotel Steigenberger for lunch. The Germans compare it to Camp David, because many dignitaries such as President Bill Clinton have come for meetings here. ... but it is an incredible car. Now, I'm in a little mini-van with a random bunch of Frenchies, Spaniards and Germans (BlaBlaCar strikes again) on the 5 hour drive to Paris. I could really do with spending some more time in Germany and can't wait to come back after I've headed back to the UK. Such an amazing few days. I am feeling so happy.

I could also do with not having 3 hours left of this journey. I might be sick on the French guy next to me. Sorry ...

All Saints Day

... and an entire block of restaurants and bars. There was a huge park and people flying giant kites along the Rhine. And that was about it. Because everything else was closed. Today we learned that All Saints Day is a national holiday here and not the best day to explore a city. The more you know. Tomorrow we start our road trip! We are picking up the car at the airport and then off to Amsterdam! I'm excited to have a bit more freedom in when we go ...

... is in celebrates All Saints Day on November 1st, so there are a lot of things that are closed. We still got a good feel for the city though. Tomorrow, we're renting the car and driving to Amsterdam! I'm nervous about driving somewhere where I can't read the signs! Luckily, Europeans drive on the same side of the road as Americans, so that part will be okay. I have to remember how to drive a stick! I love you love you love ...

So we walked around and at 6pm we decided to go on a walking tour. We met and saw a few others also waiting… there was no tour guide that showed up.

So we went and got some dinner. We went to the super market and cooked some Mexican. How could we not use the amazing facilities.

We then went to bed.
