Got to a downtown port location, thus able to WALK THRU OLD TOWN from 9 to 12:30.

In the Town Center is a huge cathedral, occupying two blocks, at least 15 stories high, filled with filigree and buttressed walls. It was built over 25 years beginning about 1350. ... though as the weather has stopped us going into town. Our hotel the Mecure is lovely, Great place to finish with. Arrived at 3 and had couple of hours for r and r. ... it was time to wait and wait and wait for the train, it seemed to take forever.. Finally about 10 minutes late (not very good German punctuality) our train arrived and we soon found our couchette cabin.
