... played songs on an accordion all night while the locals sang along to the songs. We then went to Peter's Brauhaus which was filled with people dressed for the carnival. The beer there was amazing. After Peter's we went to the local kebab shop and had a yufkta and the guy actually baked the bread on the spot for us. We split the kebab and went to sleep not long after, ready for another ...

... how amazing it is.. The photos definitely don't do it justice and inside was just as amazing! We had Italian for dinner and then walked home - one of the waiters at the restaurant thought we were from the USA hahaha! This morning we all caught the train back from Köln to Frankfurt airport and after saying goodbye to Stephie- Lee and I grabbed some breakfast and then flew to Rome (Italy) ...

... place you can't stand still in as you just get carried along with the crowds.

I was making my way to Dusseldorf Hafen, this is the media harbour a rejuvenated area of once docklands now hosts the media and the Rhine Tower, the old harbour buildings have been updated into offices or accommodation, I can imagine it would be an expensive place to live.

... saved time queuing, the baggage check in was very easy and automated, the machine weighed the bad then printed out a label to attach and off it went down the conveyer belt. Passport control went smoothly too and this gave me plenty of time for a coffee and relax before the flight, up to now it was going just fine and I was enjoying my little adventure.

The flight was really good, it took just over an hour to arrive ...
