... fruit helped her. As we walked to explore the hotel spa, we walked past a big fish tank. The first thing that intimated us to the fish tank was the horrendous smell around a 10 feet radius. Then, we saw the source of the smell - few of the fish were dead floating on the water. That should have let us know that we shouldn't expect much from the gym and the spa. The machines were not working, and the spa was closed. We walked down to the beach. The beach was alright ...

It was around a thirty minute trek into the forest before we came to the ...

... our sotok, we wanted to try more so we added tiny mussels cooked in some sort of spicy chili sauce. We also added crunch with some tiny shrimp fried whole. Literally, whole. Still had the shell on them, but apparently that's very common around here, extra calcium. So 3 tea + 3 sotok + 3 rice = 51,000 rupiah. Yes your calculations are correct we all ate for about 4 dollars.

Came back to the hotel, spent the afternoon by the pool… blah blah blah.. same stuff ...

... out of the car the driver was apologizing to us! We told him it was fine & we'd rather he didn't fall asleep. The remainder of the journey was slow with many traffic jams (Jakarta is famous for these). We did though start discussing music with our two compadres as it turned out that the driver doesn't like Indonesian music at all but is a fan of slow rock and likes many British bands including Queen! Soon we arrived back at Jalan Jaksa and our grotty hostel. What ...
