Here we had a 1hr long Elephant trek through the jungle and river. I had a go at riding down on the elephants neck. I woke up about 4.30am, unable get to back to sleep, as the seats on the train weren't very comfortable. The train was running over an hour late too, something which had become something of a theme on our trip. Annoyingly, this meant that we missed our connecting ferry, which left at 7.00am. ... trudged along at an alarmingly slow pace until we eventually pulled in to the station at just before 11 a.m. Our next train was not until 1 p.m so we waited in the train station passing the time by talking to two sun worshippers from south London who had spent 7 and a half weeks on the islands and were waiting to go home.
