... preservation and appears to be in the midst of a massive urban renewal. Trolley cars run along Main Street and the riverfront connecting many of the tourist attractions.
One of our first experiences on the street was with the con; they came up to us and seemed very friendly, asking if we needed help or offering us interesting bits of information about the area; we were the conspicuous tourists, wandering around gawking at the sites, cameras hanging ...
... join him and get my groove on a bit (<-who says that these days??...whatever) So I danced with him a couple times taking breaks in between accordingly. The guy selling CD's came over and told Sumner and Ryan that they were the luckiest guys around. The singer of the group took to calling me Shaking Bacon for the dancing I was doing. But I'll tell you what, Felix my dancing man was 63 years old and still had it going on. He had the ...
Memphis, Tennessee, United States ktowers86... I'm in Memphis, I thought it would be nice to visit the family again in Tyler, Texas for a couple of nights. On my way to Denver. Where I have to be on Thursday. I'll leave that with you....

This entry takes the standard of blogs to new depths of mediocrity.
And by, 'takes', I mean, 'plummets'.
Two sides of a triangle are better than one.
... br> We put on our Blue Suede shoes and headed off to tour Sun Studios, the Studio that gave Elvis his recording break and has recorded hundreds of great artists including U2, Matchbox 20 and some old favorites such as Jerry Lee Lewis, B.B. Memphis, Tennessee, United States bekandjesse... gate that has recently changed to another gate located across the airport...then sit back and let the hilarity ensue! This was our entertainment as we sat and ate lunch.
Thanks to everyone at the James for the send off cake, card and well-wishes! Lauren has the card with her to help get her through any tough times!
... would leave me adequate time to get to the Greyhound station 1 hour before time. So I checked out at 6.30 and asked the person at the front desk to call me a taxi. I clearly said those words but instead he throws this dirty card with a taxi phone number on it at me. Luckily I had a prepaid card and rang up the number he gave me. Taxi man doesn't start work till 9am. Oh dear. Ever more luckily for me I had done my research ...
Memphis, Tennessee, United States rama0999... that we left to find a Campground around Jackson, MS . So we hit the Interstate again and steered THE Lincoln south(by the way, forget all your bets about where it is going to break down...it is just not going to happen! Ha! GO LINCOLN). A "quick" lunch at a "Cracker barrel" later we left the Interstate for an hour to find the Campground, which does not exist, saw Cotton fields and some rather interesting areas of the - I guess - Midwest. Not pretty, no pictures. Back on ...
Memphis, Tennessee, United States klompjes-krautz...indeed. From 11 am-1:30 pm, Jerry and I dutifully hit all the stations--the house, the car museum, the trophy room, the jumpsuits, the airplanes. If you're visiting Memphis, it's a must, but I'm discovering that it's kind of like Alcatraz is to people who live in the Bay Area: Most residents don't go. Graceland is expensive (about $25 each for the Platinum Tour, which means more than just the mansion) and crowded and over the top in a ...
Memphis, Tennessee, United States lrandal... English couple behind us, they were talking to 2 Americans about traveling, it was like a game of poker, every time the Americans said something about where they had been or what they had done, the Brits "trumped" them, having been higher or for longer or farther etc. We were cringing in our seats and when we heard on the CD Johnny Cash singing "I've been every where man" we fell about laughing. Don't it make you proud to be British sometimes?
Memphis, Tennessee, United States maxandpaddy... Memphis area. During the reception, A. C. Wharton, Jr., the mayor of Shelby County, gave a gracious speech welcoming the Choir. Choir President Mac Christensen responded in kind and other members of the administrative staff addressed the gathering.
Some 5,000 attended the concert itself. The audience received each number enthusiastically, clapping appreciatively only a few measures into “Betelehemu” when the Choir began its usual swaying motion and giving the Choir and ...
