I'm getting ready for this trip that will happen in about a month. I got a new canon camera which is a RebelT1i degital 15 pix with two lenes. They sure put me back a good many dollors.
I just hope I'm able to take great pictures. I'm making two dresses to ware and will take very
few clothes. I ...
... any pictures as evidence, though, do you. No no, we were incognito cute.
Here's a tip for anyone coming to Phoenix: get signed up on the Internet for Groupon and get email alerts for special deals in the valley. We saved a bunch of money by getting half price tickets for tonight. It works like this, you have 24 hours to purchase and if they get enough buyers the deals on, if not, you're not charged. So you either buy or ignore with a new deal coming out every day.
... Canyon Lake and 80 miles from Phoenix, Roosevelt Lake and Dam, built in 1911 to control flooding.
The whole Salt River to Roosevelt Lake area lies within the Tonto National Forest and every parking lot requires you display your $6 Recreational Pass. We probably saw 200 signs, "Did You Buy Your Pass?", "Cars Without Passes Will Be Ticketed," "Cars MUST Display Tonto National Forest Recreation Pass," with the closest place to purchase such pass being BACK IN PHOENIX. I'm sure ...
... for most of this information is from the Bradt Guide for Ethiopia, with Carole's added commentary of the Ark of the Covenant. It is fascinating to me and such a great adventure story if it could ever be proven. Good read on the subject is The Sign & The Seal, Graham Hancock. Many believe his research presents a very compelling case for it being there while others think it is hogwash. Personally, I think they are just jealous! :)
We leave for Ethiopia on December 15th and are getting very excited. This is one of the first steps
towards keeping friends and family updated while we are gone.
This is our first trip to an African country so we are extra excited for a completely different experience.
Erin is one of, if not, the oldest friend I have. We met in fourth grade and have managed to keep in touch over the years. I blame Erin. And this little girl I played tag with in elementary school is now a mother of an adorable little boy. She and her husband Mike had Alysia two years ago and we had a wonderful ...
Phoenix, Arizona, United States brandonibologna... cross-stitch pattern out yesterday to have it enlarged, so now I can actually see the symbols on it and now am looking forward to starting back on the big one I started a while back. Did a lot of little things today but couldn’t tell you what they were-just seemed to be busy all day. I did log all the caches from the weekend – that always takes longer than I like, almost as long as doing the caches! A caching couple, seniors, contacted me tonight and the three ...
Gold Canyon, Arizona, United States teamcc... it to our website. Throughout our trek, I would post diary entries with pictures back to a website, and schools, as well as armchair travelers, would follow our journey and interact with us via email and a message board (the site was hosted and developed at ASU). 10 years ago, I don't think there were any travel blog sites. I posted back this picture from the taxi as well as a newspaper story about Tanzania outlawing sex with donkeys in ...
Mesa, Arizona, United States dwfromuk... months and lived with a couple roommates that got stoned about five times a day. I recall that I often made good money from them by overcharging them for pizzas when they were so wasted. A small price to pay for having to deal with their **** on a daily basis. Anyway, this is probably my 5th or 6th visit to Mesa since then and I never tire of it here. Beautiful weather, spring training baseball, and a few casinos to play some Texas ...
Mesa, Arizona, United States cubswin2k5... going. So life was going well until Welke hit the ball into some plants. Well, Nass went looking for the ball. She found it and totally took a spill falling over the chain. Yeah, injury number 1 and we weren't even 24 hours into the trip. Actually Nass is fine, she just got a nice sized bruise on her thigh. So yeah, that was mini golfing. Check out the amazing pictures. Super fun. We went back to the ...
