Jim & June's Odyssey - Toronto

Lots of fresh produce, various types of cheese, baked goods, ready to eat food (submarine sandwiches sell for $1/inch), trinkets, house wares, etc. The place was packed with people and all your senses were assaulted with the sounds, colors, smells etc. Very interesting!<br><br ...

Toronto

... Approx 15min walk all in all. Whereas the locals were desperate to stay inside away from the frost-biting snow, David and I were revelling in the fluffy white stuff and couldn't wait to get back outside! As we emerged from the Skywalk, David said "wow! Look at it!" I spun my head like an owl and said "what?!" and at the sight of a big concrete post to my side, I slowly raised my eyes to the sky and shouted "oh it's here!!" I didn't realise the CN Tower was right beside ...

Citizenship: Canadian?

... training has been alright. Tomorrow morning I need to be at the Etobicoke campus for 7am - Yippee! It's actually really nice waking up early on Saturday mornings. This training has helped me regulate my sleeping patterns and how seriously I take timing and commitment. I've also discovered that I can accomplish a great deal by Noon and sleep all afternoon before hockey. Until next time

... the local team. Had a great day out visited 'the urban beach' (see pic of Matt) at the edge of the city, great idea. We took the ferry to Toronto Island - a fascinating place. Also a great way to look back at Toronto city. Matt is embracing using the camera again and I'm back with my head in the lonelyplanet guide - we're both in our element! We are also enjoying travelling on the 'street cars' - trams to us. We are in a new home - for two months, which ...

Royal Ontario Museum & Walking Around Town

... a late lunch, we finished up the museum and walked back to the hotel. We were worn out. We relaxed a bit. We walked down a block our two and had dinner and a middle eastern restaurant Ali Baba's. I had beef shawarma that was very good, DS had fish shawarma that he loved, DH had falafel plate, and DD had samosas that made her tummy hurt at about 2 am later in the night. We walked on to Dundas Square where they were ...

we packed all night

Hi Everyone. Here are some photos of our previous trip to Southeast Asia, 20 years ago. We will do our best to re-create them (yes, we even have matching dresses). Too bad wild pigs ate my old stroller - it would've made a great prop.

Puppet Masters

... blown glass flowers, apparently by some famous glass blower from Vegas, but for the life of me can't rmemeber his name. The drive back was equally peaceful, hardly any traffic. All in all, pretty fun times. The puppet show is one of the most bizarre things I've seen, yet oddly quite fascinating and definitely alot of laughs. Certainly something different to do and some nice clean fun for me and an 'ole pregnant lady!
