... on the day of departure I actually cancelled my plans to go because of a cold front that was making its way through the Orlando area this weekend and that was bringing allot of mositure with it, and because I did not think it would have ended up being a good thing to be sleeping in a tent with two young kids in the pouring rain and with temperatures dipping down into the 40's.

... delayed for over three hours. i still kept my hopes high of our trip going good.I have always loved being in the airport observing people and trying to understand the objective of each ones presence there. Not to forget the multiple shops and eat-outs.So we finally din't realize the passing of time until before we were boarding and were on our way to Orlando.

Today we went for a drive and visited a walmart store - we found some good bargains on t-shirts etc. One interesting thing is that Ipods and other electronics now cost about the same as in the UK. bought a card reader for $13 only to find where I'd hidden mine when we got back to the hotel. so I now have two....

... experience there in Hiroshima was the fact that the a-bomb resulted in a dramatic shift in national consciousness. Before, the nation had a long history of warring, and particularly leading up to WWII had sought to conquer neighboring territory in Manchuria (northeast China) and the Malay Peninsula. The emperor was considered God and the Japanese had never lost a war. Surrender was not an option… but ultimately they did indeed have to surrender. After, they ...

Over a year ago the decision was made by my wife and I that this year would be the ideal time to take the kids to Disney, being 7 and 9 years of age they are not too young to enjoy it fully, whilst they are not to old to be embarrassed at the idea of going to see Mickey and co.read more...
Orlando, Florida, United States pauljriley... merry-go-rounds, sandpits etc. I was pleased to just sit down and watch them burn that last bit of energy. An incredible park, that was worth every cent it charged. Yes it appears expensive at USD600 (but that is for 2 parks and includes Aquatica), but with all those animals to look after day after day, I'm happy to pay it. The dedication of all the staff that are so talented it is an inspiration. The lesson for today - live your dream.

Orlando, Florida, United States helixeagle... family of 20+? Where else but Costco. The nations leading supplier of such items like the five gallon jug of mayonnaise, the extra large jar of pickles, and of course the 250 count supply of paper plates. What we neded though were just a beef roast for Chad's signature beef roast dish and a few fruits and veggies. After Costco and seeing more of Orlando, I still can't believe how green everything is in Florida. It's still America, but it's not ...
Orlando, Florida, United States fchongco83... for it again? No. There was still about an hour until SpectroMagic started so we made our way over to Liberty Square. There was a five-minute wait listed at the Haunted Mansion so we got on line. On line in front of us was a family with four kids, including a little girl who had Cancer. She was maybe five or six and it broke my heart. My Uncle Marc had Cancer twice and I know how horrible and traumatizing it was, so I can only imagine ...
