So, I left Medellin and took a 10 hour bus ride back to Bogota. Jumped on a flight and headed home. After clearing customs, I met my mom in baggage claim and jumped in the car to go eat. I drove. First odd thing ...

... not a problem for us. I'm not too worried as most days will be spent all over Florida as we want to see the sights we have not seen yet in this state. We would love to see key west, Orlando, Miami, Daytona, and especially Tampa. We have 2 months to do all of this, so we're gonna take our sweet time here. <sigh> life's good so far. I got a lot of work to do editing and adding stuff I generally forgot. Hah. Back to you...

The US are very proud of their space exploration. The Kennedy Space Centre is a fantastic example of this. We were given an extensive tour of the facilty and shown the journey of every shuttle before it takes off to space. The massive equipment that is needed to move the shuttles and rockets around the facility. We even got to listen to Jack Lousma, an astronaut who was in Skylab and the first shuttle missions.
