Jamie missed his flight from Beijing ! Fortunately we were able to pay a small change fee to get him on tomorrow's flight out. Mom is going to flip her lid when she finds out I left my youngest brother in China.

Again, more shopping and another shipment home. I'm sure by now Jeff and Sarah's house has a UPS sign in the window.
We're in DC now.....getting ready to tour some museums since the weather changed to rain again. Chat later.....and.......GO DUCKS.
... ship, to a private tour of a nature preserve in the Andes, to bird watching at a cloud forest lodge near Quito.
If all this wasn't enough, when we arrived at our Quito hotel, my wife and I were surprised and touched to find that Ms. Sayago had left an anniversary present with our local guide for us (this trip coincided with our 25th wedding anniversary).
It truly was the vacation of a lifetime!

Professor Rowe is the Department Chair and has a background as a forensic drug chemist. He is also a member of the ASTM committee which sets standards for a variety of forensic disciplines for crime lab workers.
We met at Samson Hall, soon to be the old base of Forensic Science Department as they are shortly to be moving to a new site that will allow the programme to take more students. Although the cost of a GWU Masters in Forensics is quite ...
... a kid to remember it some 10 years later proves that it's a visit to remember. But they do hit you with the gift shop at the end, which was full of stuffed animals that you don't find at your local Toys R Us (I bought a Raccoon that I still have). Thinking about it, I realize that many of my road trip memories have revolved around gift shops...not that it's a bad thing though, because it's given me a reference point for the important things ...

After we were pretty beat so we headed back to my apartment to chill for a few hours before meeting up with Megan and Rob for dinner. Around 7 we met Megan and Rob on King street and went to a pub for dinner. We all got the fish and chips except Rob, they were so yummy. The chips they serve it with were really potatoes :) :) We walked down the rest of King Street so the guys could see the Potomac ...

Our sound tech has also suddenly left meaning we might not have shows at all ::crossing fingers:: I look forward to seeing everyone, and I'll put up pictures here and on Facebook ASAP So chill the beer and heat up the grub - I'm commin' home soon!
St. Thomas, United States springac... we then stopped at santa monica to visit our friend hoody and we went to santa monica pier (ooohhhhh david hasselhoff) which was really nice, then we moved on to laguna where tan was designated driver. she did very well (eg; we are not dead! haha) nah, but seriously, its amazing how quickly we have all become accustomed to being backwards! laguna was very low key, but very nice and now we are here at THE VEGAS! just arrived today, so will have a look at the bright ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States ezlisstan... that it is because it is the "birth right" of every jewish person to visit their homeland. Pretty sweet.
Of course, there were a few drawbacks. Going with Birthright means going on a guided tour of Israel, with a tourbus of 40 other young Americans - not exactly my ideal way of traveling or getting to know a country and culture. And the Birthright program is downright ...
... of the church turned charter elementary school. Inside the cafeteria, the organizers had set up dozens of card tables. Gift bags were strewn all over the tables along the perimeter of the room - these were part of the great raffle in which we could buy a bunch of tickets and then put them in the appropriate gift bag next to, say, a bike or a waffle iron in hopes we would win in the drawing. The tables in the ...
