... just how nice a neighbourhood this is, and into Encanto park, only 500m from the hostel. It's a small park but has a golf course as well, with the delineation between course and park not always clear to me. I'm fairly sure I did some low level trespassing, at any rate, as I ended up on a trail that was separated from the park section by a low fence, on the other side of which was a sign saying "no trespassing". ... hockey tourney, then a 4th guy from NY joined in early also. Nice guys and fun to play with.

After that, searching for outdoor dining, we came up empty until we found a place basically next door to the hotel. Its name was Bobby Q's (specializing in.....Barbeque), making us 2 for 2 in visiting Phoenix restaurants with cutesy names mimicking their cuisine (recall Aunt Chilada's from last night).

The Friday night rehearsal dinner was followed by an “out-of-towner” party hosted by the bride’s parents.
