Old friends and new

... visiting. It's great to see an old friend with a great family, but it also makes you reflect. It was the first time I really got to play with and study a two year old. And now I know why they say an angel watches over all small children. <br>Erin and I have decided to make our visits more frequent in the future.

Waste or Wonder?

... footed in the Pacific Northwest, you don't think about where your water comes from. And reclaimed water? Yucky.<br>But here in the desert reclaimed water is what makes the golf possible. And in Arizona, golf is king.<br>Water courses through Phoenix like an Oregon holiday--wet and extravagant. I cringe to see man made ponds, lakes, waterfalls and rivers in this desert decorate developments like baubles on a tree.<br>But when you know they've ...

Season of the Snowbird

... sunbelt section of Arizona and California. We've arrived a bit early - the true snowbirds head south after Christmas - but all the same I have to have a plan and we will need reservations at most places. <br><br>We will be staying mostly at membership parks. These require even more planning since you can only make your reservations a certain number of days ahead of time. So, here's where you can find us this 'season'<br><br>11/15/2009 - Manteca ...

... Lauren ha the ipod playing. We also did coach introductions where you had to tell the coach about the person sitting net to you which was fun. We stayed at the Marriott which was great. Dinner was at a Greek restaurant where they were quick to get ...

The 2nd longest travel time!

... By the time, we got to Houston, I was so tired and emotional and finding out that they cancelled our tickets to Phoenix and Las Vegas and LA made me cry! Nikolas was in much better shape that me. I spoke to a representative at Continental Airlines who pretty much said too bad, we got you from point A to B that you paid for and they are not responsible if I bought a ticket from another airline! But of course, it would have been different if I had booked ...

Out of Diablo's Grip

... at about 2:15pm and had already reached cooler temperatures just to the north of Black Canyon City at about 3:00pm. This made things a little more bearable as the Air Conditioning does not work in the Land Cruiser. I am fairly use to not having A/C, but Jami was suffering. Combine the no A/C and the myriad of G's weather updates she was receiving via text... Well, I'm sure you get where I was going with her mood. The ...

... that in Taiwan, I'm getting darn right excited about doing so. And when my time there is done, I'll be darn right excited to be coming back to a Sovereign Grace church! Q. Will you come back to Gilbert when you are done? A. Yes. Q. What does your pastor think about this? A. Hahaha - good question. At this point, he is still not sold on the idea (to put it quite mildly.) We had a 2 hour conversation about it and we joked and laughed a lot during that time ...
