... we hiked back to Greenwich Village to get some. We struggled to find it and searched for over an hour (Greenwich is off the grid system and has irregular streets with names instead of numbers). Anyway, when we eventually tracked it down, it was closed temporarily due to a small problem. The guy said maybe an hour or so. We boarded close to 7:30pm and then cruised out to Battery Park and then out to the Statue of Liberty where they stop the boat for a few minutes and float so that each side gets a view of the statue. Finally we made our way back and traveled a little way up the East River under the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges before heading back to the dock. ... directly up to Crown and see Pedestal on way back. After the Pedestal the stairs to the Crown where spiral, and as continue up became narrower. Once at Crown only enough room for Security guy and 10 others. Lucky wasn't a hot day like yesterday as very hot climbing up stairs - no breeze. Great exercise!!!!

... to Battery Park where we met the bus and picked up a local guide who took us for a quick tour around Manhattan before stopping for a look at St Paul's Cathedral which is across from the 911 site and where people from the offices of the twin towers went for safety.
