Amrikanerna

Amri kanerna är veldikt trevliga och snella och alla är kompisar med alla. Dom gillar veldikt myket söta saker. I skolan så fins det 3 olika driker chockladmjölk, vanligmjölk och jogubsmjölk och den är knal röd. Det är nästan bara vi som driker vanligmjölk.

... alles probiert und haben aufgegeben, so heute werden wir neue Teppich kriegen. Gestern Abend sind wir ganz spät ins Bett gegangen weil wir müssten den alten Teppich abmachen und draußen bringen.

Um 7 Uhr sind die Teppich Männer bei uns und sie müssen noch mal messen und dann los gehts. Ich habe viele Bücher gefunden und weil den Computer ausgeschaltet ist, werde ich lesen.

... to come and stay at the cabin free of charge. I have not even met him yet and he is letting me stay at his place, how cool is that! Alex knew all about this situation and suggested that I come down here for a while. It sounded like a good idea to me so I told Alex to make the call. Shannon said it was cool for me to come down so that is what I plan to do in the AM. There is rain in the forecast for tomorrow; hopefully it won't be too bad.

This was my first day of the mission trip. From what I remember, it was mostly worship and hanging out for the night and getting ready for our assignments for the week. Since I don't remember much from it, I won't go into to daily detail. Every day though I went to a boys and girls club and hung out with kids all day. It was an amazing experience and helped fuel me to go on more mission trips.

... be prepared. One really big thing we learned is that being prepared (mentally, and especially financially) is a huge part of traveling. Also, I believe we learned that there are always going to be ups and downs throughout our travels. We look at it as a learning tool that helped make our travels more enjoyable. I could go on forever about what we've learned, do it yourself and you will understand.
