It was nice to wake to a calmer morning and blue skies. The wind is still chilly but we still managed to sit outside for brekkie. It gets a bit boring at times during the sea days but that is our own fault as there is always a choice of things to do. Elinor and I tried out a shellac manicure as a trial for Simone's wedding. ... Very interesting. I took photos of many of the info boards, and I think if you read them you will get and understanding and a time line of how this rugged country was settled. Canadians in general are hardy people, but Newfoundlanders take it to a whole other level. They are HARDY!!
We also stopped at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist, and an Anglican Church.

all travel is the time always comes when you must return home. Sometimes you pick that time and at others fate does it for you. We leave the city of St John’s this weekend, to host Gay Pride and a convention for 350 Harley Davidson riders. That, as the Newfies would say, is a “Fine Kettle of Fish B’y”.
... br> On the way back to our B&B, we took the "scenic" tour through Petty Harbor, Bay Bulls and the barrens along Hwy 13. Going through Petty Harbor, we spotted a little seaside restaurant called Chafe's Landing and decided to have dinner here. The restaurant is housed in an historic salt box house and their fish and chips were awesome! We are definitely going to have to diet when we get home...lol!!! ...
