... walked past fear factor and our tour guide jack had been chosen as a contestant. So we gathered some more people from the contiki and went to watch him! It was really fun and believe it or not but he actually won the competition!!! Probably because he has the best cheer/support group haha. Then we kept walking through area that was made like you were walking through Hollywood and went on this ride called the rocket, a roller coaster and it was so much fun! And so fast! But ...

Slowly and very deliberately Charlie said "you are not married? That's unbelievable."
"We've been together for seventeen years, but never married" I volunteered.
"But," Maryann spluttered, "You are SO like an old married couple."

Well, that was me done then. I'd been shoved round from pillar to post all day, been completely ripped off by Disney at every turn and now the final insult. I'm described as one of an old married couple. And I've ...

A day of Disney!

... Thunder Mountain’ rollercoaster. Amanda isn’t too comfortable with big thrill rides, so today was quite a good pace to go at, as most of these attractions are aimed at children yet the atmosphere is pretty awesome. While riding around the signature ‘It’s a small world’ ride, I was thinking about how I could understand people who are cynical about Disney and these Orlando parks. It really does surround you in an illusion but that’s kind of ...

... game or something...but no, it turned out the 8 hour flight wasn’t nearly enough for me to even touch the surface. Annoyingly, we landed when I had half an hour of ‘The Hobbit’ remaining; I would have stayed on the plane if they had let me. Before that I watched ‘Ted’, which was every bit as funny as I’d been told, so if you haven’t already seen it then do so! Ted gets the Pugh Stamp Of Approval. All this whilst being ...

... and went straight to breakfast for our 8.25 reservation.

When we finished, Matt dashed off to get haunted mansion fastpasses (which he found they don't do for that ride while we got Lara changed again and stood in line for her to get her photo of her hair down with Rapunzel. We checked which princesses were on - and Rapunzel was listed so we resignd ourself to the 50 minute wait. The boys were very good given ...

    We'll Be Back!

    from

We stayed for six nights in the larger suite. The pictures on the website are accurate. We liked the room, the staff, and the fact that a WD main gate was less than a mile away.

The personnel were cheerful and courteous.

Our room was very neat, with a bright, happy decor and ample lounging area.

The kitchen appliances and utensils were clean.

The patio/pool was nice and we liked that we could watch our kids play in the pool from our windows. We were pleased with housekeeping. Check-in and Check-out was speedy. In every way, we were impressed with this hotel, and will be staying there again when we visit the area next year.

    Just what we needed

    from

The rooms were very clean. The hotel also provided great security, great location and laundry facilities. The staff was friendly but their response to our requests was often delayed. The price was very reasonable. We enjoyed our stay!

    Good Deal!

    from

We booked via the internet and were a little wary of what to expect. However, the king suite was very spacious and the kitchenette was nice to have. The free breakfast was a little skimpy, but it still beats paying for breakfast! The pool area was very clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. My only disappointment was the free shuttle service. I assumed the shuttle would run every hour or two but it didn't. With a 3 year old and a 5 year old, the shuttle just wasn't convenient as we needed to be able to leave WDW when they got tired. Also, the fireworks show at Cinderella's Castle (Magic Kingdom) doesn't begin until 9:00 and the last shuttle picks up at Epcot at 9:45. It takes an hour to get from the MK back to Epcot using the ferry and/or monorail as you have to go back to the transporation center then transfer to Epcot. We used the shuttle once and then used our own vehicle the rest of the time. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay at Sierra Suites and would definitely stay there again.

    Theft

    from

I believe this hotel hires less than ethical people. Therefore, I strongly advise anyone staying at this hotel to use the service of the provided (for a fee) safe deposit box. I did not and am sorry to this day. I had two pair of earrings (gold) and one charm bracelet stolen from my room. They were safely tucked away and would have to be searched for to find. Reasonably, I can only suspect the cleaning staff for I had them one morning, left for the day, and the next morning they were gone. When I complained I was not given a statement to fill out but was only told to fill out a police report, which I did. On the morning of my complaint I was told they could tell who enters a room because of their electronic keying system, yet I have no confirmation from the hotel that they investigated the employees on duty that day. They have simply been unresponsive. Since then I have contacted the BBB and the hotel again refused to provide an investigation into this theft. I was simply told that I should have made use of the safe deposit box. If the items merited it (very valuable) believe me I would have. They were more sentimenal than valuable. Oh, and by the way a bottle of perfume was also missing. It was only myself, my husband and our 8 year old son. I can't lay blame on traveling with a rowdy bunch! All-in-all I can't help but believe that this establishment hires less than ethical staff who are allowed to rob and literally get away with it. For Florida law states that if you are provided the use of a safe depo box, a hotelier is not responsible for a theft - does the staff know this, I would bet they do. All I want future patrons to know is to BEWARE and don't become a victim like I was. The low cost you pay for the room may, in fact, not be such a savings after all!

    Perfect for a Disney holiday

    from

Big, clean rooms. Helpful, friendly staff. Nice kitchens. Close to DW entrance. Took a big group here and had no problems with reservations or room location. Breakfast is free but average (styrofoam plates, cardboard trays, and plastic spoons- then dump it all in the rubbish).

Big, jovial, corn-fed midwesterners yukking it up on the patio at breakfast.

    Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

    from

We truly enjoyed the Sierra Suites in LBV. We had a king suite with pull out couch with plenty of room for our two kids. The kitchen was a nice size and there was plenty of space in the room. Could have used more dresser drawer space though. The staff was very friendly and accomodating and we really enjoyed the cont. breakfast everyday and the heated pool and jacuzzi. WE also made good use of the laundry facilities and movie rentals. The location is excellent in a quieter spot between Disney and Universal/Int.Ave. I would recommend this to any family.

    So peaceful and afordable!

    from

Our stay was so nice. It was quiet and peaceful. The room was spacious, kitchen, great! The staff was very helpful. The location was just right close to DisneyWorld. We will definately stay here again. Loved having towels at the poolside! Thanks again Sierra!

    Cheap but very noisy

    from

Previously stayed at this suite accomodation and loved it . This year some major problems exisited. Firstly noise levels were a bif factor. Kids up and about shouting from 7am so if you want a rest forget it !Free buffet breakfast could be alot more choice offered. Yogurt, rolls, etc. Offered from 7-10 thus the reason lots of kids were up and running around from 7am. Loads of teenagers in when we were there a nightmare ! spoiled our holiday, yet more shouting and noise. ARE THE AMERICANS EVER QUIET Housekeeping standards could be a lot better. Hotel starting to look like its needs a face lift internally. Cheap room though

    Disappointed

    from

I made reservations over the internet two weeks prior to my trip. I reserved a king suite. When I arrived at the hotel I was advised that the reservations was not guaranteed and the only king suites available were non-smoking. We elected to stay in a double suite (not the accomodations I was looking forward to). The night we checked in the security guard came to our room advising us that the occupants in the room below us complained that we were "cussing" in our room. I have two boys who were playing and releasing energy after a 4 hour car trip. We certainly were not "cussing." There after I had to make sure my boys did not make too much noice while playing in the room.

    Its a pretty good hotel

    from

I've been to that hotel a lot. it is very good for the price. the continental breakfast was free. they had a nice pool area. the rooms are kept clean a nice kitchen and it was just great. plus the location was great.
