... The rain looked like it was going to start up again, and we were so tired from the lack of sleep on the train that the promise of an early night was quite appealing. We grabbed some noodles (again! such a healthy, balanced diet now we're not on the trek) for dinner and settled down for the evening.
Tomorrow we're doing all the main DC sites, and will be learning some history on the way, so we've a busy day ahead of us!

I can't believe it, but the big trip is here. It will be a crazy 6 weeks. I know Aless and I have been looking forward to this for at least 2 years. We're lucky to also have Ali and Maggie join us and make this an adventure to remember for years to come. --Lauren
