We're now further up the coast in St. Pete's Beach, FL. Sunny Florida has gone a bit cool on us with cloudy skies. We walked on the beautiful St. Pete's beach every day, sometimes twice a day, and generally relaxed, reading and watching tv. This is a summer vacation town and there's not much else to do here, especially in the off season.
After a couple days, we drove north to the Florida panhandle, staying for the weekend in ...
This morning we were up and on the road early to get into Clearwater as early as possible. We went to visit the Clearwater Aquarium to Winter and Hope, the dolphins from the Dolphin Tale movies. When we arrived at the aquarium we found it quite a challenge to find a parking spot. After circling the area a few times, we lucked out and snagged a spot being vacated by a family who were leaving. We walked in at 11.50pm – they closed at midnight so we just made it. Got our pizza and back to the room to try and catch up on news – no tv for almost 3 ...
... truly enjoyed ourselves there last year and felt totally at home! We can't wait to go to the "Crab Bag" and have a "crabby experience"!!! All I can say is, crabs, shrimp and oysters you better hide because we are coming...
For now, we are slowly driving up...with of course, a stop in Richmond, Virginia to see Alexandra!
This should be a very happy week!
