We are in bed, leaving at 2:30 AM!! Flying from Fort Myers to Newark, then on to Duesseldorf on Lufthansa. Packing was a nightmare given that the weather will be all over the place. Still doesn't feel real. We are really looking forward to our adventure! (And hope the Lightning win the Stanley Cup!) Sitting in airport in Fort Myers. Got here early but that's ...

Safe to say that I was in a bad way after our night out in New Orleans! Far too much alcohol was consumed and we met two new friends! After New Orleans we drove to Mobile and on the way stopped at Biloxi, a lovely seaside town. We went on a really cool and interesting shrimp boat trip in the bay. I was on my way to Starbucks when I passed by my old high school. It was late in the evening and thought I'd go in just to take a look around. The doors were locked but the librarian let me in. Where was Ms. Marcos? Mrs. Howell? Where the students like we were today? Oh well, coffee is ...

    Farewell to the Islands

A travel blog entry by tomdart07 on Feb 26, 2013

... Virgin Islands are, as the name suggests, IN the United States, let's just say that being treated as an international arrival in San Juan is like being cattle driven on the Chisolm Trail, except there weren't any cowboys minding the herd (nope, JetBlue figured that they didn't need to provide any guidance other than the BTW comment). So, we leave the aircraft, are directed through vast empty areas of the airport into "Primary Inspection" ...

Time to move on after a memorable week in Buffalo. We didn't get to the morning-after breakfast for everybody, as we had an early morning shuttle to the airport, and a morning flight to Atlanta. Just as well we didn't try to squeeze it in, as breakfast started quite late in what was now expected form. Atlanta - now there's a busy airport. The terminal, one of six, ...
