... have been 5 weeks and several hundreds of miles of driving it like that. Finally convinced them we were not taking that coach in that condition. But....had to wait until Monday until the tech could put antenna and car braking system back on Max. Two more days moving stuff back to Max. Waste of several days and lots of sweat.
Max felt really good to us.
... guide' to our spot which was long and level, but narrow. Had to swing the coach out on a narrow entry road to get it between the concrete pad and electric post. There was a 3 ft high set of 4 metal electric pipes beside the entry road that I caught the back end of Max on. Wouldn't have been bad except it had been hit before and the top was bent out and the ends were rolled up. So Max now has a 'boo'. Nothing major, but an irritant.
We spent a very fast paced 3 days with our grandsons. We took them for the day on Sunday and anyone that has ever kept 3 little boys, 8, 7 and 6, know that is a tiring:)
We took them back to the camper for lunch and over to see the light house on St. Marks. There is a little hiking trail that the boys enjoyed. Overall a great visit. Also our oldest just got a house and we helped by keeping the boys away so they could paint the day away.
... the state. It's historic, scenic, and interesting to spend a day in Tallahassee..... then move on. Since we knew the RV couldn't fit downtown near the capital, we GPS'ed the local Walmart with a huge parking lot and some nice shade trees -- Kitty got to spend some of her time napping. It was fun to stop and see our state capitol, since we ARE residents. Touring the inside we got to step out ...
... really just felt like a swim. I didn't want to swim on the beach at the national seashore however, those on the beach here seemed like old oddities, I went to the public beach just outside the seashore gates. I took a quick dip, splashed around for a little bit then went back to the car. I did the classic "change wet clothes under a towel" trick in the car park. I wasn't sure whether this was ok in a conservative America or if someone would complain. But that ...
