... in the park this evening was not going to happen and had made the emergency call to Ginny Johanson hoping that we could come a day earlier!!! We were really disappointed that we couldn't camp but decided that we would try and see as much of the park as we could anyway. We drove along the Tioga Road up and into Yosemite's High Sierra. We had some spectacular views of the valley, mountain lakes and domes and enjoyed these as we took our time driving through the Tioga Pass. Pictures ...

HORRIBLE stay at the Hilton / Hampton chain

... our room (even after being double-charged) and our things were gone through.

So now we have to spend time comparing hotel rates/amenities when making our travel plans, when the only hotel we had ever stayed at was the Hampton. This situation turns my stomach, and is (not?) expected from such a snob corporation. UGH! Definitely NOT 100% Satisfaction ...
