... a lovely lake with fountains) still here from the World Fair. We also saw the Cardinals baseball stadium and heard a great story about the Ronnoco coffee firn, apparently a big deal in coffee in the US. The firm was started by two Irish brothers who tried in vain to get their business underway in St Louis' little Italy. Seems national prejudices made selling coffee to Italian neighbors problematic but when the O Connors made their new trade name by putting ...

Today we started the day with a 41/2 hour drive to St. Louis, but it was worth it! The Gate Way Arch is in St. Louis and it is huge. What an architectural feat. We went up in a little pod, like in a spaceship, it only fits five people so, Elsie sat on someone's lap. The view from the top of the arch was amazing we could see ...

We were hoping to get back from the game relatively early and wake up and hit the road for the long ride home early the next morning, but the teams had other plans. The game went extra innings. As it hit the 14th inning the clock struck midnight, but we were determined not to leave early, especially as we had moved down to the lower deck as fans had left the game. (What is ...

... The reception was an elegant and light-hearted affair.

The following afternoon we were treated to a Cardinals vs. Cubs baseball game at Busch Stadium. It was a brutally hot day but luckily our seats were in the shade. We skipped out of the game early to catch our flight back to Toronto.

We wish the newlyweds much love and happiness.
